For the last 15 years, the Gomeroi Dance Company has been proud to celebrate and share Gomeroi songs, dances and stories through our performances and events.
Our high energy, engaging and interactive approach has seen us recognised as one of Australia’s premiere traditional dance groups. We have been privileged to dance at corroborees and events all over Australia, with audiences ranging from small groups to crowds in the tens of thousands.
Our passion is to strengthen the continuing practice of Gomeroi dance across the whole community. We take pride in sharing knowledge, upholding Gomeroi traditional songlines and facilitating community participation. Our members have spent significant time learning from regional Elders, language and knowledge holders to understand the song, stories, dances and public ceremonies they share, and ensure our own authenticity.
